Important Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information for Colorado Members

Your Health and Safety is Our Top Priority

At Kaiser Permanente, your health and safety is our top priority. We are at a critical moment in our fight against COVID-19. As you know, this situation is rapidly evolving, and we need to do everything we can to keep you, our members, and our communities as safe as possible.

As you have probably heard, public health officials have encouraged "social distancing". Whether you're healthy or not, the best thing you can do today is avoid crowds or gatherings of any size. This practice of "social distancing" is crucial for protecting the most vulnerable members of our communities. It's something we can all do together, even if we're doing it apart.

Getting Care Safely

To assure that you can get care safely, we will be taking the following temporary measures this week:

  • Expanding Telehealth and Virtual Care to allow you to stay at home if you want, and to increase the number of patients we can treat.
  • Temporarily Postponing Non-urgent Surgeries and Procedures starting March 17 to ensure we have capacity and equipment to care for the potential of more critically ill patients. All patients whose surgeries or procedures are postponed or rescheduled will be contacted directly by Kaiser Permanente.
  • Temporarily Consolidating Medical Offices and decreasing the need for in-person care wherever possible starting March 23. This will help reduce unnecessary potential exposure for members and staff.

10 Medical Offices and Urgent Care Will Remain Open

Ten (10) medical offices (Acero, Arapahoe, Aurora Centrepoint, Franklin, Lakewood, Lone Tree, Loveland, Parkside, Rock Creek, and Skyline) will remain open for certain specialty care, OB-GYN, lab, medical imaging, behavioral health, and pharmacy services. Additional pharmacy services are available at Westminster Medical Offices.

Importantly, Kaiser Permanente Urgent Care at Aurora Centrepoint, Lakewood, and Lone Tree Medical Offices will remain open Monday-Friday: 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Our affiliated Urgent Care partners in Northern and Southern are available as well.

How to Get Care

Your health and safety is our top priority. We encourage you to utilize our convenient telehealth channels to seek care.

  • Online or by phone: Consider a video, e-visit, or phone visit. Members who have flu-like symptoms and are 18 or older can also chat with a doctor or complete an e-visit to get online care and advice, be screened for coronavirus, and get treatment for symptoms if necessary.
  • In-Person: If you have an appointment at a temporary consolidated (closed) medical office and must be seen, your appointment will be rescheduled at another open medical office.
  • Cancelations: If you would like to reschedule or cancel your non-essential or non-critical appointment, you may do so at kp.org, on the KP mobile app, or by calling 303-338-4545 or 1-800-218-1059 (TTY 711).
  • Refill Prescriptions with Mail Order: You can avoid a trip to the pharmacy by filling your prescriptions online and having them delivered by mail. Sign up for our mail-order service at kp.org/rxrefill or call 1-866-523-6059 (TTY 711). For most plans, get a 3 months' supply for the price for 2 months on maintenance medications. Some medications are excluded from this mail order benefit.

Questions and Medical Advice

Please call the Appointment and Advice Contact Center at 303-338-4545 or 1-800-218-1059 (TTY 711) to speak with an advice nurse to schedule a phone or video visit with your doctor. You can also email your doctor for non-urgent questions and concerns.
