Research Operations Team
The Research Operations team plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth implementation and operation of research and quality improvement projects at the IHR. Our Research Project Managers, Research Specialists, and Senior Professional Research Assistants provide strategic, logistical, and administrative project support through a range of activities depending on study aims, structure, and complexity, while adhering to approved protocols.
Collaborating closely with Principal Investigators and the Research Administration team, the Research Operations team contributes to grant proposals, launches innovative studies, and ensures ethical study governance remains at a project’s core by maintaining IRB approvals, executing data-sharing agreements, and employing sound fiscal management throughout a project.
Applying extensive expertise in participant recruitment, enrollment, retention, and tracking, the Research Operations team efficiently executes research protocols to accomplish study deliverables. Survey development, survey administration and data collection are managed by the Research Operations team with human subjects' protection and compliant research methodology at the forefront of every interaction. Chart abstraction is expertly employed for accurate extraction of relevant data from medical records for research purposes.
The Research Operations team engages with our community to foster collaboration that ensures our research activities align with community needs and values. Drawing on expertise in qualitative methods, in-depth interviews and focus groups are conducted by the Research Operations team, who then produce insightful analytic findings.
Dissemination of the IHR’s work is supported by the Research Operations team through published manuscripts, posters, and presentations. When the work is complete, the Research Operations team executes compliant study closeout, including proper disposal of PHI/PII and study artifacts.
